Robert S Kapito President BLACKROCK

Mr. Kapito is currently a member of BlackRock's Global Executive Committee and Chairman of the Global Operating Committee. He is responsible for day-to-day oversight of all of BlackRock's key operating units including Investment Strategies, Client Businesses, Strategic Product Management, Technology & Operations, and Risk & Quantitative Analysis. Mr. Kapito is also a Director of iShares Inc. Prior to founding BlackRock in 1988, Mr. Kapito was a Vice President in the Mortgage Products Group at The First Boston Corporation.


Greg Johnson is the president and chief executive officer of Franklin Resources, Inc. and serves on the board of directors. Mr. Johnson is also president of Franklin Templeton Companies, LLC., and serves as a director of a number of the company’s subsidiaries, including Fiduciary Trust Company International. He is a trustee, director or officer on a number of Franklin Templeton’s fund boards. Mr. Johnson was elected co-chief executive officer of Franklin Resources in 2004 and has served as the company’s president and CEO since 2005. Mr. Johnson joined Franklin in 1986 after working as a senior accountant for Coopers & Lybrand.

Robert Higginbotham President T.ROWE PRICE

Robert Higginbotham is Head of Global Investment Services, which encompasses Institutional distribution globally and distribution via financial intermediaries outside of the US. GIS is one of two key distribution channels at T. Rowe Price and sits alongside the US retail, retirement and intermediary distribution channels. He is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. and a director of T. Rowe Price International Ltd. Before joining the firm, he was CEO for the Europe, Middle East and Africa and Latin America regions of Fidelity Worldwide Investment.

Sir Bob Geldof Musician, Political Activist, Entrepreneur & Chairman 8 MILES PRIVATE EQUITY FUND

Bob is Chairman of the Band Aid Trust and a member of the Africa Progress Panel (APP),  and the African Union. He co-founded ONE, the powerful Washington, London, Berlin and African lobby group focused on better policy for and within Africa.  Bob was appointed by Tony Blair to the Commission for Africa, which, in its report of March 2005, made recommendations to be implemented by the G8 to address the economic problems of the African continent. Bob has received many national and international awards for his music, writing, business and humanitarian work, including a knighthood (1986), the EU Parliamentary Gold Medal, the North/South Council Prize, the Third World Prize, the Leaders of the 21st Century Award. Prior to becoming head of Multi-Management at Union Investment, which is one of Germany’s largest asset managers in private and institutional investment, Thomas was Head of Allianz, Multi-Manager Team. Prior to that he was head of Cominvest's fund of funds and multi-management team, before the firm was taken over by Allianz.

William Benz CEO, EMEA PIMCO

Mr. Benz is a managing director in PIMCO’s London office and head of PIMCO Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Having joined PIMCO in 1986, he was previously responsible for PIMCO’s European client servicing group and, prior to that, oversaw PIMCO’s U.S. client servicing efforts out of Newport Beach, California. He has 27 years of investment experience.

Charles Beazley joined the Firm in London in 2006 as President of its international offices before moving to Japan in 2010 to take direct control of Nikko AM’s rapidly growing Asian operations and the domestic Japanese institutional business. Beazley is a highly experienced international general manager with successful operating experience in Europe the US and Japan and has lived and worked in all three regions for extended periods. Jed Laskowitz MD, CEO, Asia Pacific J.P. MORGAN ASSET MANAGEMENT

Jed Laskowitzis responsible for overseeing all aspects of J.P Morgan’s $100b Investment Management business in the region. An employee since 1996, Jed most recently managed the U.S. mutual fund business. Jed serves on the Investment Management and Global Funds Operating Committees, the management teams that oversee JP Morgan’s Global Investment Management business. Institutional Investor recognized Jed in 2009 for the growth of the U.S. Mutual Fund complex, which ranked 3rd in net flows that year.

Kurt Shappelwein Head, Multi-Asset Strategies & Fund Mgmt RAIFFEISEN CAPITAL MGMT

Kurt Schappelwein joined Raiffeisen Capital Management in 2005 where he has been heading the Multi Asset Strategies Team since May 2010. He takes responsibility in Asset Allocation and has portfolio management duties for institutional and retail funds. Prior to joining RCM, he worked as an equity market strategist at an Austrian bank.

Andrew Formica Chief Executive HENDERSON GLOBAL INVESTORS

Andrew Formica has been in the fund management industry since 1993. He has held various senior roles with the Henderson Group in the past 12 years and he has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2004. Prior to being appointed Chief Executive of the Company, he was Joint Managing Director of the Listed Assets business (from September 2006) and was Head of Equities (since September 2004). In the early part of his career, he was an equity manager and analyst for the Henderson Group.

Francois Zagame Head, Multi-Manager Funds OLD MUTUAL GLOBAL INVESTORS

François joined Old Mutual Global Investors (previously Skandia investment Group ) as a portfolio Manager in October 2007 from Insight Investment, where he was Director of Fund Manager Selection. Prior to joining Insight, François worked at UBS for two and a half years ending as Head of the UK fund and manager research. Previously, he was an analyst and fund manager at AIG Global Investments.

Henriette Bergh Head, Manager Selection Team MORGAN STANLEY PRIVATE WEALTH MGMT

Henriette joined Morgan Stanley as an Executive Director in June 2007 to head up the Manager Selection Strategies (MSS) team within Private Wealth Management. The MSS team focuses on providing advisory and discretionary investment solutions in the long only/UCITS space. In addition to her role of oversight of the Manager Selection Strategies team, Henriette was asked to head up Sales for London based investment advisors in April 2012. Henriette joined Morgan Stanley from GSAM, where most recently she was the Co-Head of GSAM's Global Manager Strategies team.

Bernard Aybran Deputy CEO & CIO, Multi-Manager Portfolios INVESCO

Bernard Aybran joined Invesco in 2008. He had previously launched a multi management subsidiary for Edmond de Rothschild, both for private wealth management and institutional clients. Up until 1999, Bernard was with Societe Generale Asset Management, where he took part in the setting up of a multimanager range. He started his career in 1994 with EuroPerformance, as head of databases and studies.


Architas is an independent multi manager business wholly owned by the AXA group. Caspar is responsible for directing the company’s investment activity and overseeing the structure, responsibilities and control of the investment function. Caspar’s role also includes the recommendation of appropriate investment strategies to other areas of the AXA business. In addition Caspar runs Architas’ six actively managed fund of funds. Prior to his current role, Caspar headed up the multimanager business at AXA Framlington.


Campbell Fleming is Chief Executive Officer at Threadneedle Investments. He joined Threadneedle as Head of Distribution in November 2009 and became CEO in March 2013. Mr Fleming is an IMA Board member and Pensions Policy Institute Governor, was previously Managing Director of JP Morgan Asset Management’s UK business, having joined Robert Fleming 12 years prior, in 1997, following a strong regulatory and legal background.


José Antonio Blanco supervises the investment and research activities for continental Europe. He is part of the Global Investment Solutions (GIS) capability, where he heads the Structured Engineering team. As a member of the Asset Allocation & Currency Committee, he contributes to strategy setting across the full range of GIS capabilities and is responsible for the Swiss pension funds portfolios.

Andy is responsible for the Prudential range of funds, making decisions on what funds go into the Prudential products across the UK and Europe. For the last five years he has also been responsible for fund development within the Prudential products range for funds such as the Dynamic Portfolios.


Jan has recently been appointed to his current role. Prior to this, he was Global CIO for ING. Before joining ING in 2008, he was CEO/CIO of Pear-Axial Investments in London. Previously, Tom was at LV=Asset Management for three years where he established the Standard & Poor’s ‘A’ rated Multi Manager Department and helped spearhead the Group’s move into retail asset management. Daniel Gibellini Head of Investment Products UNICREDIT

Daniele is responsible for Segregated Accounts and Fund Selection. He has been involved in Asset Management and Private Banking since 2004 when he joined UniCredit Group, working mainly on advisory products development and marketing projects (e.g. client segmentation and advisory services). Prior to that, from 1980 to 1999, Keith was with James Capel (HSBC Securities from 1996) where his previous roles included; 1998 Managing Director of International Equities, 1993 Director of Economics and Strategy, 1984 Chief Economist and in 1980 International Economist.  Keith started his career in 1979 at the Government Economic Service.


Allan Polack is also a member of the Executive Management Group. The Savings and Asset Management arm of Nordea operates in all the Nordic countries and has a solid representation in Frankfurt, New York, London, Luxembourg and in Poland. With close to 90.000 mEUR under management, Nordea Savings & Asset Management is the largest asset manager in the Nordic area.

Yoram Bauman The Stand Up Economist ECONOMIST

Yoram Bauman, “the world’s first and only stand-up economist”, has shared the stage with everyone from Robin Williams to Paul Krugman. He has appeared in TIME Magazine and on PBS and NPR, and is the co-author of the two-volume Cartoon Introduction to Economics. He is also the organizer of the humor session at the annual meeting of the American Economic Association. He has a BA in mathematics from Reed College and a PhD in economics from the University of Washington.  His goals in life are to spread joy to the world through economics comedy; to reform economics education; and to implement carbon pricing.

Pascal Blanque Deputy Chief Officer, CIO AMUNDI GROUP

Pascal Blanqué began his career in institutional and private asset management at Paribas in 1991. He was a strategist with Paribas Asset Management in London (1992-1996) then Deputy Director of the Economics Research Department at Paribas (1997-2000). In May 2000, he joined Crédit Agricole where he was appointed head of Economic Research. In February 2005, he was appointed Global Chief Investment Officer at Crédit Agricole Asset Management and is a member of Crédit Agricole Asset Management’s Executive Committee. Omar Gadsby heads fixed income fund selection at Credit Suisse Private Banking Switzerland since July 2005. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Gadsby was a senior fixed income fund analyst at Standard & Poor’s in London from 2001 to 2005. Gadsby started his career at Merrill Lynch Asset Management (MLAM) in 1995 as a foreign exchange trader on the fixed income team in Princeton New Jersey, USA. Greg Davies Head Of Behavioural & Quantitative Investment Philosophy BARCLAYS WEALTH

Greg heads up Barclays Wealth’s global Behavioural Finance and Quantitative Analytics teams, and is responsible for designing and implementing the Barclays Wealth Investment Philosophy globally. Prior to this he gained commercial experience for several years with Oliver, Wyman & Co., a financial services strategy consultancy, and continued consulting throughout his PhD as a Director of Decision Technology, a boutique consultancy which specialises in developing commercial applications from academic decision sciences and behavioural economics. He has authored papers on risk, portfolio theory and investment decision making in multiple disciplines of Economics, Psychology and Decision Theory; guest lectures at UCL, LSE and LBS.


Paul joined Old Mutual plc from BNY Mellon Asset Management International where he was Executive Director and Head of Distribution. Prior to this, Paul was Managing Director and Head of Distribution for Gartmore Investment Managers, responsible for all sales, marketing, product development and multi-manager divisions of Gartmore globally. Paul's extensive background in both asset management and wealth management includes positions as Chief Executive of NatWest Private Bank and NatWest Investments USA as well as three years at Coutts.


Martin is also Adjunct Professor of Finance at Imperial College Business School and a member of the Scottish Government's Financial Services Advisory Board, the EFAMA President's Advisory Council and the Institute ofChartered Accountants of Scotland. He divides his time between Aberdeen, where the business has always been headquartered, and London, as well as overseeing the international operations of the Group.

Mussie Kidane Head of Fund Selection PICTET

Mussie’s team at Pictet is responsible for selecting best-in-breed managers across all asset classes and caters to Pictet Wealth Management divisions globally. The team is also responsible for selecting managers for sub-advisory agreements on the behalf of Pictet funds. In addition, Mussie manages a US$420 million absolute return fund-of-fund. Prior to joining Pictet in 2006, Mussie was an analyst & portfolio manager within the fund selection and multimanagement team at LODH & Cie.
