Networking is of the utmost importance to SuperReturn U.S. participants . Here are just some of the features delegates made use of to maximise the use of their time in Boston:
- VIP Hosted Lunches
Two VIP speakers hosted a lunch table, so that delegates could quiz them on their presentations and data over lunch:
June 3: Jeffrey Frankel, James W. Harpel Professor of Capital Formation & Growth, KENNEDY SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT, HARVARD UNIVERSITY
June 4: Josh Lerner, Jacob H. Schiff Professor of Investment Banking, HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL - Networking Champagne Roundtables
The champagne roundtable sessions provided delegates with the ideal place to meet face-to-face with some of the key speakers in small groups of about 15 people. Each table had a designated topic and leader, delegates chose the one of most interest to them. A chance to discuss specific issues which had arisen over the course of the day in a highly interactive and personal environment; all over a chilled glass of champagne. - Interactive Electronic Polling
Two interactive polling sesions, one on the investor summit and one on Juine 4 allowed participants to add their opinions to the debate and take the pulse of the industry in real time. Questions were put to the audience, who voted electronically, and the results came up on the screen, to be commented on by our panel of experts. - My SuperReturn U.S. e-Networker
NEW for 2010 - My SuperReturn U.S. e-Networker went live two weeks before the event took place allowing delegates to contact fellow attendees and set up meetings before they arrived at the event! Frantic netowrking activity pre-event meant that attendees had a full schedule of meetings already set. Participants could also use this online system to load up their profiles, make contact with speakers and delegates, arrange meetings in advance and maximise their time at SuperReturn U.S. - LP/GP Structured Speed Networking
Speed networkers were divided into LPs and GPs. GPs picked up 20 LP business cards in 20 minutes, and LPs sifted through a large number of funds very quickly, in order to follow up later where there was mutual interest. - NEW for 2010: Meet The Investor Roundtables
Sector-specific and emerging market-specific topics were covered through our new meet the investor roundtables, enabling in-depth discussion and knowledge sharing:
June 3: Emerging Market Roundtables
June 4: Sector-specific Roundtables - Delegate Quickfire Showcase
QuickFire Showcase contestants had the opportunity to promote their fund to a packed eoom at the SuperReturn U.S. Quick Fire Showcase. In strictly 1 minute 30 seconds they promoted their fund strategy without using financial data, powerpoint or overt comparisons with other funds. Our expert LP judging panel gave feedback and a score, and the winner received a free delegate place to SuperReturn U.S. 2011!
