Highlights of Projects & Infrastructure Finance International 2009The 2009 Projects & Infrastructure International conference, was again the highlight of the Project Finance calendar. Over 150 global experts from all sides of the market, gathered to share insider knowledge on the energy and infrastructure deals in the pipeline and assess the future dynamics of project finance.
Sessions included:
- Representatives from the leading Multilateral agencies; EIB, OPIC, EBRD & MIGA illuminating their role in supporting international projects.
- Market leading project finance banks assessed the impact of the new lending landscape on project finance. This was very informative, frank and open discourse between the industry's most experienced commercial lenders. The market's leading banks; BNP Paribas, Calyon, Credit Suisse, HSBC and RBS gave their true perspective on the outlook for commerical lending in the medium term.
- The Export Credit Agencies Talked Shop! - A new interactive format saw the world's most significant ECAs in an open discussion with Projects International Delegates.
Delegates shared indepth discussions with JBIC, US EXIM, ECGD, Euler Hermes Kreditversicherungs-AG, Atradius and EDC and had their chance to put their questions directly to the ECAs.
- Off The Record With The Ratings Agencies. Projects International achieved a first, by bringing representatives from the key Ratings Agencies, Moodys, Standard & Poor's and Fitch Ratings onto the same platform. The agencies compared and contrasted their approach to project ratings and how this has evolved through the recent financial turmoil.
