A big thank you to all our speakers who made valuable and insightful contributions to ITAS 2010 - we were delighted to see such a great turnout of attendees from all corners of Europe and beyond during these tough economic times. After the industry malaise that hung over the funds processing industry back in 2009, the mood at ITAS 2010 was markedly more upbeat, although there are plenty of hurdles still to overcome. Over 40 speakers explored the challenges that the transfer agency and fund processing industry faces in these most volatile of times.
In addition to ITAS the Forum, we were delighted to be running a timely workshop on Outsourcing Transfer Agency which was highly interactive and informative.Outsourcing of transfer agency services within the European collective investment market is continuing to grow, but as we saw, different markets within Europe are at different stages of development and evolution. We were able to look at wide variety of markets, examiming the historical and current drivers that surround these and the European market as a whole.
We would like to thank all our sponsors, especially State Street and IFDS as Lead Sponsors, Bank of America as Lunch Sponsor, and Bravura, CACEIS and RBC Dexia as Associate Sponsors
We look forward to coming back to Luxembourg again next year, and hope to see many new faces and as well as those familiar to the Forum as we look to a brighter 2010- and beyond.
The ITAS Team, February 2010
