4th Annual Asian Hedge Fund Forum - New Insights Into The World's Most Exciting Alternative Investment MarketWhat a tumultous year 2008 has been so far, and the conclusion at gaimAsia was that we are certainly in for a volatile year ahead. Feedback from the event so far has been great. With a great desire to know how to face up to the challenges in the upcoming months, this really was one of the most buzzing weeks in Hong Kong for the Asia Alternatives market to network and find out information that they needed to know - fast. With markets across the region experiencing tough conditions, it was only natural that the Q&A sessions were taken advangate of fully. Our expert panel of speakers ranged from Family Office Risk managers, End-Investors, FoFs and HFs - from across the Asia-Pac region and beyond. It was somewhat timely that we were able to hear from our keynote guest speaker Paul Deegan, who had spent numerous years struggling mentally and physically to get the top of Everest: a challenge many of our delegates felt was comparable to raising capital or finding healthy returns. We look forward to seeing many of you again in 2009, and hope that by then the markets' rollercoaster ride is on a calmer trajectory! |
